Education Minister Christopher Pyne has accused the teachers union of frightening parents of students with disabilities over loading payments for schools.

Mr Pyne, who is meeting education sector groups in Canberra on Tuesday, said the Australian Education Union had been running a "disgraceful campaign of lies" and warned the opposition against joining it.

He told parliament the government had delivered the disability loading which Labor had promised in government and would continue to do so until 2018.

The union earlier released a survey showing eight out of 10 school principals believe they don't have the funding needed to cope with an increasing number of students with a disability.
