Union rep offers journo cocaine: report

Australia's entertainment union, the MEAA, says it's disturbed by an allegation one of its associates offered cocaine to a journalist at last year's Walkley Awards.

A "young bloke" from "one of the unions in attendance" allegedly offered BuzzFeed Political Editor Mark Di Stefano a bag of white powder and told him it was a benefit of joining the union, according to an excerpt from his book, which was published in Crikey.

Although the union was not named in the article, the MEAA said in a statement on Friday if any of its employees or officers were involved they could face expulsion.
