Union pushes jail time for 'wage theft'

A prominent union boss wants Labor to support changing workplace laws to ensure company executives face prosecution and even jail time for underpaying wages.
Transport Workers Union boss Tony Sheldon says his organisation will be seeking the support of Labor at party conferences around the country following the scandals of 7-Eleven, Caltex and Domino's.
"Clearly the act is failing to hold employers to account and employers should be held to account, just as an employee would be if they were to steal," he told ABC radio on Tuesday.
