A toddler has allegedly been indecently assaulted by a food delivery man at a home in Greystanes, west of Sydney’s CBD, last night.

An unidentified father told 9NEWS he had left the left the room when Zhi Huang, 62, allegedly touched his two-year-old son on the head, shoulder and crotch.

The young boy had been swimming the backyard pool, and was not wearing clothing at the time.

Two older children witnessed the alleged incident, and reported it.

Mr Huang today pleaded “not guilty” in Fairfield Court.

He told detectives that such behaviour "was not frowned upon in Chinese culture”, police said.

Mr Huang struggled with an interpreter in court, and could not raise funds for bail.

The magistrate ordered he be kept in custody tonight, and the case return to court tomorrow.
