Two spat-on Qld cops to get disease tests

Two Queensland police officers will face nervous waits to see if they have contracted any diseases after being spat on in separate incidents in Brisbane.

A woman, 29, allegedly spat in the face of a female officer while police were trying to remove her from a pub in Milton in inner-Brisbane about 9.30pm.

Just over two hours later, a 26-year-old man allegedly spat in a male officer's face in Zillmere while police tried to break up a disturbance at a home.

He's been charged with serious assaulting police and possessing dangerous drugs.

The woman was charged with being drunk and disorderly in a licensed premises, obstructing police and seriously assaulting police.

Both were due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Saturday.

The officers both received treatment in hospital and will undergo disease testing.
