Four stabbed in alleged rampage south of Brisbane

A man is in custody after an alleged stabbing rampage, which saw four people wounded and ended in a failed carjacking at a Brisbane McDonald’s drive-through.

The 32-year-old alleged attacker first cut off a couple at an intersection in Beenleigh, south of the city, about 12.30pm.

He allegedly slashed the driver in the arm, then took off and attempted to steal a vehicle from a car-wash business nearby, police said.

He then allegedly stabbed a teenager in the arm at the car wash, before allegedly trying to steal a car from the nearby McDonald’s drive-through.

The driver of the targeted car was stabbed, with two other men who intervened also receiving stab wounds.

Police said the four victims were all in a stable condition.

The alleged attacker was arrested and is receiving treatment in hospital.
