Two men sought over luxury boat fires

Police have released images of two men following a fire that destroyed three luxury cruisers at a Sydney marina last year.

Emergency services were called to Cabarita wharf in Sydney's inner west at about 3am (AEDT) on December 3, following reports of a loud explosion.

When they arrived they found a fire that subsequently destroyed three luxury vessels.

One of the vessels was occupied by two adults and three children who managed to escape uninjured.

No one was on board the other two boats.

Police say they would now like to speak to two men in CCTV images released on Wednesday.

Both men are described as being of Caucasian appearance with short dark hair and a thin build.

The first man was wearing a dark-coloured T-shirt, light-coloured shorts and thongs.

The second man was wearing a dark-coloured T-shirt, blue shorts and thongs.

Investigators have also released an image of the boat on which the two men may have been aboard either on the day of the fire or about that time.

It is described as being a two-metre 'Sirocco' inflatable with a 3.5-horsepower outboard motor attached.

This boat was discovered at Concord on the day of the blaze.
