Two men suffer burns injuries after gas bottle explosion

Two men aged in their 60s are recovering in hospital after a gas bottle explosion at a marina development.

The incident occurred last night around 7.20pm on Hindmarsh Island, 80km south of Adelaide.

One victim suffered burns to his face and the other man sustained burns to his arm.

The victims were reportedly placed under running showers until paramedics arrived.

Both patients were taken by helicopter to Royal Adelaide Hospital where they are recovering.
