Two men armed with baseball bats on the run after deli robbery in Adelaide

Two men are on the run after robbing a deli this morning in Salisbury East, 20 kilometres north of Adelaide’s CBD.

Police believe the men were wearing balaclavas and had baseball bats when they threatened the owner at a deli and snack bar on Northbri Avenue just after 8am.

The owner handed over a small amount of cash and some cigarettes to the men.

The thieves then fled the scene in a small grey sedan with a “loud exhaust or broken muffler” on Jarman Avenue behind the shopping complex, police said.

No one was injured during the incident.
