Two injured in light plane crash near Camden Airport

A young man and woman have suffered “multiple injuries” in a crash near Camden Airport.

An ambulance helicopter and Fire & Rescue NSW crews were deployed to the paddock at Cobitty around 11.15am.

The male pilot, 23, and a female passenger, 22, are said to have non-life threatening injuries and have been freed from the wreckage, NSW Ambulance said.

A foam blanket has been placed over the plane to prevent it from igniting.
