Woman charged with arson after fire at Gold Coast unit block

A woman has been charged with arson offences over a fire in a unit on the Gold Coast.
The woman had to be rescued from a balcony by fire crews.
Emergency crews were called to the blaze on the ground floor of the Owens Lane building about 10.30am yesterday.

Two people were treated at the scene and taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition, a Queensland Ambulance spokesman said.
Police have arrested a 27-year-old Labrador woman, who is due to face Southport Magistrates Court on June 9 on charges including assault occasioning bodily harm, burglary and arson.
