Concern for two fishermen missing in tinnie near Coffs Harbour
NSW police are concerned for two fishermen who are missing after setting out from Coffs Harbour in a small boat early on Sunday morning.
The pair, aged 70 and 37, are believed to have headed south in a five-metre, open-top tinnie.
Coffs-Clarence Police District Chief Inspector Peter Hayes said a large operation is now underway, including choppers, planes and boats.

"It is a massive area of sea which is being searched," he said.
Chief Inspector Hayes said police were alerted on Sunday evening the men had not returned as expected from their fishing expedition.
The men had all necessary safety equipment onboard their small boat, police said.
Computer modelling of marine conditions has led to police searching a 300 square nautical mile zone south of Coffs Harbour.
