Pair charged over fight at Kariong service station

Two men have been charged after police were called to a fight at a service station on the NSW Central Coast.

Emergency services were called to a service station on the Pacific Highway at Kariong just after 7pm where they found two men injured.

The men, aged 27 and 24, were taken to Gosford Hospital with head injuries.

Officers were told the men, who are known to each other, were involved in a fight.

A ratchet was allegedly used during the fight.

The older man required stitches while the other man refused treatment at the hospital.

Both were subsequently arrested and taken to Gosford Police Station where they are assisting police with inquiries.

Officers have spoken to a number of witnesses and charges are expected to be laid.
