Two charged over stabbing at Sydney unit block

Two people have been charged after a man was stabbed in the neck in inner Sydney last night.

Emergency services were called to the scene about 10.20pm and found the 43-year-old victim lying in the driveway of an apartment block on Belvoir Street in Surry Hills.

Paramedics treated the man at the scene before he was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital suffering a number of stab wounds to the neck.

Police arrested a man and woman in a unit of the apartment block and took them in for questioning.

They have since charged a 43-year-old man with causing wounding with intent to murder and a 44-year-old woman charged with affray and common assault.

The pair were refused bail and will face Central Local Court today.
