Malcolm Turnbull says less rhetoric and more practical solutions are needed to tackle climate change.
Greens MP Adam Bandt asked the prime minister in parliament on Wednesday whether Australia was losing the battle against the "climate emergency" under the coalition's Direct Action policy.
"Emotion and passion all have their place, but in terms of reducing our emissions ... the policies that are in place are working, they are able to meet the targets that we committed to in Paris," Mr Turnbull said.
