Inbound lanes reopened on Calder Freeway after chicken farm truck crash
The truck hanging off the edge off a freeway entry ramp in Melbourne’s north-west has now been removed.
Two cranes were brought in this morning to clear the wreckage after the vehicle crashed at the intersection of the Calder Freeway and Melton-Calder in-ramp at Keilor about 5pm.
The inbound lanes of the Calder Freeway have been reopened, after the installation of water filled safety barriers.

Lanes are reduced to 60km/h.
The male truck driver, aged in his 50s, was taken to hospital with soft tissue injuries, an Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman told 9News.com.au this evening.
He is in a stable condition.
The truck was from a chicken farm.
It remains unclear what triggered the crash.
