Treasury workers back pay offer

A decision by Treasury workers to back the government's pay offer has been welcomed by the federal government.
The department's staff voted in favour of the deal, which will deliver a 4.5 per cent pay increase over three years in exchange for productivity measures.
"Treasury employees clearly understand the importance and the need for fiscal restraint as the government is faced with paying down the legacy of Labor's debt, waste and mismanagement," Employment Minister Eric Abetz said in a statement on Friday.
