Travellers advised after Turkey blast

Australian travellers are being advised to stay away from the scene of a deadly blast in the Turkish capital.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade updated its advice for travellers on Thursday morning after 28 people were killed and dozens wounded near parliament and other government buildings in the administrative heart of Ankara.

DFAT said the overall level of advice remained at two with people urged to "exercise a high degree of caution", advising Australians to stay away from the area and follow the instructions of local authorities.
