Trapeze artists hurt in fall at Perth police ball
Two trapeze artists have been injured when they fell four metres during a performance in Perth last night.
Video shows the moment the man and woman, from Circus company Kinetica, fell during their aerial show at the WA Police Social Club Ball at the Hyatt Regency Perth.
It is believed a bolt in the trapeze rigging gave way.
9NEWS understands a doctor and several nurses in the crowd rushed to help the performers.
It is believed the woman suffered a gash on her head, and the man has an ankle injury.
The pair were taken to hospital, but have since been released.
Kinetica Circus has confirmed a probe into the incident is now underway.
"Safety during circus performance is of paramount importance, and a full investigation between our company and the venue is currently taking place," the company said in a statement to 9NEWS.
