A total fire ban has been declared for 24 hours in parts of South Australia.

The 24-hour restriction has been issued by the Country Fire Service which says severe conditions are expected in the districts of West Coast, Eastern Eyre Peninsula, Lower Eyre Peninsula and Yorke Peninsula.

For safety, the CFS recommends people have a bushfire survival plan or leave before a fire starts.
