Tornado flattens Starbucks café in Indiana
The horrifying moment a Starbucks café folded in on itself during a tornado has been caught on camera.
A man filmed the Indiana café’s collapse from across the street, during yesterday’s fierce storm.
Customers at the café, in the town of Kokomo, sheltered in a bathroom as the building was flattened, according to reports.
Images taken since show the town's Markland Mall Starbucks reduced to rubble.
Witnesses said the café’s customers were trapped but uninjured in the collapse, weather.com reported citing WTHR-TV.
"It was hellish," the witness said.
A state of emergency has since been declared.
The mall was significantly damage and roofs were blown off homes in the town, the National Weather Service advised.
In the town of Dillman, grain wagons were reportedly lifted 500 feet into the air during the tornado.
