Brazen daylight thief snatches cash from elderly woman in Toorak
Police are hunting a man following a brazen robbery that targeted an elderly woman in Melbourne’s inner east.
An 80-year-old West Australian woman was withdrawing money on Toorak Road, in Toorak, about 12.05 pm on Christmas Eve when she was robbed.
A man, aged in his 20s or 30s, waited for the machine to dispense the cash before snatching it off the woman and fleeing on foot.
He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 177cm tall with a thin build and has black hair, beard and moustache.
He was wearing a black t-shirt, pink shorts, a black cap and sunglasses.
