Prime Minister Tony Abbott has said there will be more submarine jobs made available in Adelaide, as he addressed a Liberal Party audience in Adelaide.

In his speech to the state's annual party conference audience, Mr Abbott said the jobs would be there irrespective of the outcome of the tender process.

"There will be more subs, the work will be centred here in Adelaide, therefore there will be more submarine jobs in Adelaide in the years to come.

Mr Abbott wrapped up his two-day trip to the state with his attendance at the conference.

He toured a meat processing plant in the Adelaide Hills yesterday and said South Australians can expect to see more of him in the lead-up to the next federal election as he seeks to support projects that create jobs.

The latest visit follows a three-day trip to SA just over a week ago when Mr Abbott announced Adelaide would be the principal site for construction of the next fleet of Navy frigates.

His next piece of good news is expected to be federal support for the northern connector road project which will improve freight access through Adelaide's northern suburbs.
