Toddler dies after being struck by ute

A toddler has died after being hit by a car in the driveway of a home on NSW's Mid North Coast.
The 20-month-old girl was reportedly struck by a ute at a home in Taree about 5pm on Tuesday. The child was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Manning Rural Referral Hospital where she later died.
The male driver of the ute has been sent for blood and urine testing. Police have established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
