Toddler dies after being hit by car in Sydney's west
An investigation is underway after a child was fatally hit by a car in the driveway of a home in Sydney’s west last night.
Police and emergency services were called to a home on Wootten Street, Colyton just after 7pm after a 23-month-old boy was struck in the driveway of the home by a Mazda 3.
The boy died at the scene. The 23-year-old driver of the Mazda was taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests.
A crime scene has been established and an investigation is now underway, as police try to determine the circumstances surrounding the toddler’s death.
Another toddler was killed in Brisbane on Friday after his pram was accidentally struck by a car driven by his mother.
