Cheeky pubgoers filmed stealing haul of bar mats from venue

A cheeky group of pub patrons who nicked not one, not two, but nine bar mats (and a premiership flag) from a WA venue have offered to return the haul after the pub manager posted the video online.
The mates, who had a couple of bevvies during their visit to the Endeavour Tavern in Lancelin, may not have realised the theft was captured on security cameras.
So when manager Paul Ferguson posted the video on social media, it reached a massive audience, including the culprits, who were among the 17 million who viewed it online.

"We knew there were a couple missing and then once we went to set up the bar the next day, that's when we realised there was nine, so we checked the surveillance cameras and bang," Paul told Today.
When the video reached 1.5 million views, Paul said he and his staff were pretty impressed.
But when that number skyrocketed to more than 16 million views, they thought it was incredible.

Within an hour of the video going online, Paul said the guilty parties reached out and offered to bring the stolen items back.
But when they found out how many views the video had got - they cheekily asked if they could in fact keep them as souvenirs.
"I said yeah, so I said, 'come on up and we'll have a catch up and I'll buy you a beer,'" Paul said.
