There's a very exciting announcement from The Rolling Stones this morning, with the legendary rockers confirming they are going on tour next year.

The news follows the release of their new album Hackney Diamonds and Mick and the fellas will be doing a 16-show run of stadium concerts across the US and Canada.

There is no sign of whether or not they'll come Down Under just yet, but I will be sure to keep you across those details if they do come through.

Currently, the tour kicks off in Houston at the end of April and wraps three months later in California.

In New Zealand, Post Malone did a surprise little pop-up performance.

He stopped into a local Irish pub in Auckland and ended up joining the house band for some covers.

And in some huge news out of Hollywood this morning, it looks like James Gunn has found his next Lex Luthor.

Deadline are reporting that Nicholas Hoult has been cast in the role as part of the upcoming Superman: Legacy film.

He follows in the footsteps of Kevin Spacey and Jesse Eisenberg who have both portrayed the villain on screen.

Superman: Legacy is set for release in 2025.

Following a record breaking number of submissions, the nominees for next year's Aussie Country Music Awards are in.

Felicity Urquhart and Josh Cunningham have picked up six Golden Guitar award nominations.

James Johnston and the Wolfe Brothers also received an impressive six nods.

The big winners from this year, Brooke McClymont and Adam Eckersley, have again been nominated for five awards and the ceremony will kick off January 27 in Tamworth.

The original head of ET from Steven Spielberg's classic film is going up for auction and it's expected to fetch up to seven figures when it hits the block in December.
