Couple who met at school celebrate 102 years of combined teaching
Teachers are the backbone of Australian schools and some of the very best in NSW have been honoured for their decades of unwavering service.
Among them, are Dale and Paul McFadden, who actually met on the job at Londonderry Public School back in 1974 and fell in love.
Now after 102 years of combined teaching experience between them - Dale and Paul revealed to Today what it is they love so much about the work they do.

"I treat every child as if they're my own, that is the way I teach - I couldn't teach any other way," Dale told Today.
"Every child is my child when I'm talking to them, teaching them, responding to them and I think teachers are a soft place to fall for children, that's very important."
Dale said she met Paul on her very first day teaching at Londonderry Public School and she was very impressed with his teaching style and could tell he really cared for the children and their relationship grew from there.
"Dale had a lot of very similar attributes, I could see that she cared for children, respected them and I wanted to just join her journey a little bit to find out more," Paul added.
