With all the glitz, glam and a whole lot of ads, the Super Bowl is so much more than just a football game.

Taylor Swift is also there this year to support her boyfriend's team and R'n'B legend Usher is going to perform the coveted halftime show with some very special guests.

Apple Music's Zane Lowe explains the halftime show is always something to look forward to each year and this may be the biggest one yet.

"Anticipation begins as soon as the last one ends, because everyone wants to know who will be performing and when are we going to find out?" Zane said.

"Obviously, Jay Z is the only person that knows that - he makes the selections and he's chosen brilliantly this year, Usher is the world's greatest living male performer.

"He's still on the stage 30 years into his career, to bring all that experience to all those hits and all that enthusiasm from fans, it's going to be one to remember."

The Super Bowl LVIII will see the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers face off from 10.30am AEDT.
