Big names and long hours - Today's original hosts on the show's early days
Today's first hosts have opened up about the show's early days, 40 years on.
Steve Liebmann and Sue Kellaway both celebrated the on-air chemistry they'd had, and reminisced about some of the early interviews that made Today's name.
John Howard, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Charlton Heston and Paul Newman were among the show's first landmark guests, with Kellaway describing a "star struck week" interviewing celebrities in the US.

But ultimately it was their friendship that made the show work.
"We had many years of cheerful chat, never had a bad word. Never a bad word," Kellaway said.
