Australian man is auctioning off his left butt cheek

An Australian man is auctioning off his left butt cheek for charity. Yep…you read that right.

Dean Hoppe from Newcastle, NSW told Today that he's putting his body on the line for the Cancer Council, and the highest bidder gets to decide on a tattoo in the prime location.

"I have been looking for the best bit of canvas on my body and my wife has ruled out the face," Mr Hoppe told hosts Karl Stefanovic and Ally Langdon.

"I went to my second best bit of canvas and that's south of the equator."

Mr Hoppe said that he has had a couple of offers so far.

"The highest bid is from a mate of mine on the Central Coast and she's quite desperate to get it," he said.

"She wants to write a script saying that I should have went to her surprise wedding rather than Bon Jovi."

Langdon, and Stefanovic decided to take things to the next level and threw their own bids into the mix.

She told Mr Hoppe, who is an avid Bulldogs fan, that she would bid $500 if he got a Rooster tattooed on the backside.

But Mr Hoppe wasn't taking it

"Who has teed this up. No way," he said feigning outrage.

"One of the quotas was no disrespectful stuff; so no swastikas, Rabbitohs or Roosters tattoos…"

Stefanovic's suggestion however, was met with enthusiasm.

The host offered him $1,000 to ink "I wake up with Karl".

"If you want to do that, I will get that one on the right cheek and keep the left one for charity," Mr Hoppe said.

"I've been wanting to spend some time with you for 15 years now. If that means having your name tattooed on my arse cheek, I will take that as a win," he said as Stefanovic and Langdon descended into hysterics.

Mr Hoppe is also taking part in the "Shitbox rally" for the Cancer Council, which challenges teams to drive cars worth less than $1000 across some of Australia's most formidable roads.
