Today host 's encounter with giant python on live TV

A giant python is still on the loose in Sydney's south this morning, so the Today hosts wanted to get a better understanding on what makes them tick.
The Brazilian boa constrictor was spotted at Tom Ugly's Bridge boat ramp in Sylvania yesterday afternoon, before slithering off into a rock wall near the water.
It hasn't been seen since, with locals on edge about where it might next pop its head up.

Today hosts Karl Stefanovic and Sarah Abo were joined by professional snakecatcher, Andrew Melrose and his carpet python, Honey, in studio this morning to see first hand what the scaly native is made of.
And after a couple of reserved pats of its back, Sarah ended up with the snake around her neck - all thanks to suggestion from Karl.
"Oh my God, oh my God, it's actually around my neck, it's around my neck! Oh, Jesus Christ, stop that, please don't do this to me.," Sarah panicked as the snake started to constrict.

Today viewers know all about Karl's completely rational fear of all snakes and he was up and outta there after Sarah suggested he take a turn carrying Honey around his shoulders as well.
