British Royals mark anniversary of Queen's death separately

Prince Harry has made a rare trip home to the UK as the British Royal family lead tributes to Queen Elizabeth II on the third anniversary of Her Majesty's death.

The Duke of Sussex flew in from LA and went straight to Windsor to visit the burial site of his late grandmother.

While his brother, Prince William, visited the Women's Institute, where the late queen was a member for some 80 years.

His father, King Charles, is currently in Scotland and while a reunion between Harry and William still seems unlikely, former royal butler, Grant Harrold, suggested this visit could be the perfect opportunity.

"When the late Queen died, we saw Harry, Meghan, William and Catherine all get together because, sadly, with death, it unites families," he told Today.

"On the anniversary of the Queen's death, Charles has been at Balmoral Castle, which is where his mother died and interestingly, she used to do the same at Sandringham, which is where the Queen's father, George VI, died.

"So he's keeping with tradition and Harry will be under no illusion that if he wants to see his father and if there is plans afoot for that to happen, he will have to travel to Scotland."
