The Toyota Landcruiser is one of Australia's 'most searched' cars. 

"If you want to wait in line, I suggest you probably put your name down," Zahos said, explaining buyers looking now will pay a premium.

"if you need a car, you need a car. You may be able to negotiate it on the stock floor but it is a case of put your name down and if you need it, wait in line.

"I've bought a car during lockdown and I've sold a car during lockdown and I've sold a car during lockdown ... it is pretty hot out there."

Zahos went on to list some of the most in-demand models in Australia.

She said LandCruiser's are one of the "most searched" for cars.

"You've got the Holden Commodore (demand for) that has jumped up about 37 per cent. Mercedes C class, 20 per cent. You've got Toyota Corolla, 20 per cent.

"There's a huge demand also on certain makes and models. If you do have a used car and you don't need it, it is a good time to definitely sell it."
