SA Premier's uncanny resemblance to Nine sports presenter

After a serious chat about US tariffs and the state of South Australia's steel industry, Peter Malinauskas was thrown a curve ball by the Today hosts.

The premier has been a guest on the show plenty of times, but Karl Stefanovic couldn't help but notice a striking similarity to one of the presenters behind the desk.

Nine Sydney journalist Zac Bailey was reading sports news this morning and Karl just had to say something to the pair.

"I'm just wondering if the South Australian Premier is in some way related to Zac," Karl said.

"Look at the two of you, who's your daddy?" he added as a split screen of the pair appeared.

Drawing attention to his thick eyebrows, Zac joked he had no idea what feature it was Karl was referring to.

But he did admit it's not the first time his striking facial feature has been pointed out.

"I actually brought my comb in, I'm a make up artist's worst nightmare," he laughed.

"I was in the makeup chair at 3am this morning."
