It's the morning after the night before the 97th Annual Academy Awards and whilst the cast and crew of Anora will still be celebrating, I'm sure there are plenty of people still scratching their heads.

Why did Best Actor Oscar winner Adrien Brody overstay his welcome on stage, delivering a lengthy acceptance speech?

All five minutes and 31 seconds of it, which has now gone down in history as the longest speech in Oscars history.

That was some effort to hold back a 60-piece orchestra as they tried to play him off stage.

He's copping it today, although he did give Guy Pearce a nice shout-out.

And while all that was happening at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Elton John enjoyed a front-row seat half an hour down the road in Beverly Hills, as his annual Oscars viewing party got underway, raising money for his Aids foundation.

Elton turned up a little bit late after the ceremony and he and Chappel Roan performed a stirring version of her breakthrough hit Pink Pony Club.

He's raised a lot of money for this charity over the years and the pair also performed one of his biggest hits, Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me.

There was also the annual Vanity Fair viewing party, which turns into a big afterparty, especially if you're holding one of those shiny gold things.

The stars were also out at the Governor's Ball, but the moment everybody still seems to be talking about is that Wicked opening performance.

While the movie wasn't a big winner on the night, many suggesting that will happen next year for Wicked: Part II, Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande opening the ceremony with their hit Defying Gravity, blew the audience away.
