The 'kidfluencers' taking over fashion week

Two pint-sized influencers, or "kidfluencers", have taken over Australian Fashion Week.

Sister duo Mia and Tatiana have wowed crowds with their stylish looks and boast a following of 180,000 followers on Instagram.

Speaking to Today, their parents Nga and Sebastian Escalante said they started posting last year as a way to share their outfits.

Ms Escalante said the girls enjoyed their first fashion week.

"It was obviously a little bit overwhelming, but the kids did so well," she said.

"They just loved the cameras, the photos, and everyone was so friendly there.

"They really, really enjoyed it."

While the following has been mostly positive, Mr Escalante said there's a small drawback to the fame.

"You do get a couple of comments here and there," he said.

"I think 95 per cent of it is all positive and couple of little things here and there that people would say, but I mean, I think that comes with anything really.

"We keep our private life very separate to their Instagram life.

"Instagram is just more the photos.

"There's nothing really on there about what we're doing and then, you know, besides the photos, they living a very normal life.

"We go to the park, we take them shopping, they go to school."
