Meghan Markle 'couldn't believe' she wasn't getting paid for Australia trip
A new book has made explosive claims about Meghan Markle and her brief time as a serving member of the British royal family.
Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown by royal author Valentine Low looks into what goes on behind palace walls and who the major players are behind the scenes.
Low's colleague and the Daily Mirror's royal editor Russell Myers told Today the book is full of "bombshell after bombshell" and has many jaw-dropping reveals in it.

"Meghan told people she believed she was going to be the Beyonce of the UK and that she necessarily wasn't happy with the royal family," Myers told Today.
"We know that now, but I think this new book is full of bombshells and heaps further pain onto her reputation, which is unfortunate for her."
The book claims former staff called themselves "Sussex survivors" after being subjected to the duchess' screaming tirades and that during her and Prince Harry's visit to Australia in 2018, Meghan was heard by several staff saying "I can't believe I'm not getting paid for this".
