The daily battle: Postie vs. Maggie

Incredible vision has been captured of a magpie swooping a postie just trying to do his job.

The Australia Post worker decided to film the encounter, which he says happens daily on his rounds through the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney.

He's even nicknamed the protective bird 'Sluggo'.

The bird was captured on camera swooping at least eight times – all while the postie was trying to deliver his mail.

Thankfully, the postie hasn't suffered any injuries from Sluggo who remains a constant presence on the postie's route.
