Radio hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O Henderson have signed an historic deal which will keep the duo on air until the end of 2034 and see the KIIS FM pair break into Melbourne for the first time.

The new contract is set to be worth $200 million over the next 10 years and is described by ARN insiders as "multi-layered".

After 18 years together already, Kyle joked to Today by the time this new contract finishes "he'll be old enough for a seniors card".

"You get less time for murder than what we have spent together," Kyle told Today.

The deal will also see the pair break into the Melbourne FM market, something Jackie O said she is grateful for, but Kyle admitted is about time.

"I don't know why everyone has to pretend to be so grateful - that is not the word, expectant, long overdue, these are the words that come to mind," he said.

Karl and Sarah praised the pair for sticking it out with each other for so long, but Jackie O admitted working with Kyle keeps her guessing.

"I think that's what I love about doing this job is never knowing what the hell is going to come out of his mouth," she said.

"He keeps me on my toes, that's for sure - but it's always fun."
