Prince William to deliver heartfelt speech at King Charles' Coronation concert

The Coronation of King Charles III is less than a week away and more details have been revealed on what to expect from the history-making event.

Daily Mirror Royal editor, Russell Myers told Today May 6 will not only be a state event, but a family event - confirming exclusive information that Prince William will be delivering a special speech at the Coronation concert the day after.

"I am told he will give a heartfelt speech about his dad, and there will be words about Camilla, so different feelings towards her than his brother Prince Harry that's for sure," Russell said.

Never-before-seen footage of a young Prince Charles has also been aired by the BBC in a new documentary ahead of the event, revealing more of his family life growing up.

"It's often said Charles is a man from a bygone era and you hear him speaking and it definitely does feel like that," Russell said.

"As we're leading up to the Coronation it's a proper, proper countdown a few days away, so it's magical to see the footage showing him growing up and Charles speaking about his life and times."
