Karl takes an icy plunge all for a good cause
Karl Stefanovic has taken an icy plunge on a rainy North Sydney rooftop, accepting the #FreezeHof challenge from ambassador Lincoln Lewis, all in the name of mental health awareness.
The Freeze-Hof Ice Bucket Challenge involves either a 40 second ice bath or cold shower and is inspired by the Wim Hof Method.
The timeframe of the challenge is because every 40 seconds someone somewhere takes their own life.

Lewis set Karl the challenge to complete 40 seconds fully clothed and Ally and Brooke were naturally very eager to see their co-host come through.
"I didn't know it was raining, that makes it even more fun," Ally said to a clearly nervous Karl.
"The good thing is all of the funds raised are going to the White Cloud Foundation to help Aussies with mental health services."

Lewis said he nominated Karl because all money donated for the cause goes to charities which make sure resources are put in place so that people don't have to suffer alone.
So Karl wasted no time, kicking his shoes off and jumping straight into a freezer full of water and ice.
"I hate you, Lincoln - it is actually freezing here. It is freezing," a clearly shocked Karl said.
Ever the encouraging co-worker, Ally jumped behind Karl, asking Karl how he was feeling as she poured more ice over the top of his head.
"It is easy. It is easy. It is easy. I have got this. I have got it! I have got this. I have got it! I have got it!" a struggling Karl replied.
Hopefully Karl doesn't catch a cold, bravely lasting the 40 seconds in the rain. Today

The second the clock hit zero, Karl jumped out of the bath and straight into a dry towel as Ally, Brooke and Lincoln congratulated him on succeeding.
Because Karl successfully completed the challenge, Harvey Norman have donated $10,000 and Archers have chipped in $5000 for the cause.
