Karl to undergo colonoscopy, revealed after on-air belch
Karl startled his co-host this morning after a rogue bodily function snuck out in front of the camera.
The Today host revealed he had been drinking "a horrible liquid thing" in preparation for a colonoscopy and it was having an uncomfortable reaction on his body.
"It was my decision to share this with the nation," Karl said after his co-host Ally Langdon told the audience of the procedure.

Ally said Karl had managed to "keep it together" for most of the morning up until they tried to record a promo earlier in the show.
When the camera stopped rolling, Karl got an uncomfortable look on his face and then let out a loud burp, startling his co-host.
"I'm glad that went up and not down," Ally said in the played back video, covering her mouth in shock.
Brooke reminded Ally it was probably time she was due for her own colonoscopy too and Alex reminded everyone he had one last year and it's nothing to be afraid of.
