'Don't you dare!': Karl Stefanovic flings fresh horse poo at his co-host

The Today team had their Akubras and cowboy boots on this morning as they broadcast live from the 2025 Mount Isa Mines Rodeo for a very special edition of the show.
The largest rodeo in the southern hemispshere, the event is expected to attract close to 30,000 visitors, both local and international, for a taste of true Aussie spirit.
This was Sarah Abo's first visit to the mining town, and her Queenslander co-host had a very controversial way of welcoming her to the land.

"Come over here, Sars, this is what you do," Karl Stefanovic said as he picked up a big pile of horse poo with his bare hands.
"There you go, yeah, you come up with your hands and ooh," he added as he took a big deep inhale of the dung pat in his hands.
Karlos was trying his best to convince Sarah it was all part of the experience, the beautiful sun coming up over the desert, the sounds of the horses and their riders and all the scents of the land.
But Sarah was not willing to dive that deep into rodeo culture.
"What is wrong with you?" Sarah asked.
Sarah screamed as Karl flung the poo at her. Today

Karl said he had been picking up horse dung since he was a young lad, even describing the smell as delicious and suggesting Sarah rub some on her face.
But Karl could see she wasn't having a bar of his antics, so he ended up hurling a chunk of poo across the dirt over to Sarah.
"Don't you dare come near me! Don't you dare come near me! Don't you dare!" Sarah screamed, running from her co-host.
We're not certain but the Today human resources team were likely sweating bullets during this morning's segment.
