Karl Stefanovic apologises for wife's prank call to Queensland Premier
Today host Karl Stefanovic apologised to Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk this morning after revealing his wife Jasmine Yarbrough drunkenly called the politician one Friday night.
Stefanovic told the premier said he has now got a safeguard in place to prevent anymore late night phone calls.

"I wanted to give you my deepest apologies my wife's drunken call in her own sweet way Queensland way to open the borders," he said.
"I have now saved your name under my lawyers name so she won't do it again."
Luckily Ms Palaszczuk saw the humour in it.

"That is probably one of the calmest ones I have had. It's all right. I understand how stressful it has been on people," she said smiling.
"Maybe not the drinking and ringing up. Maybe stay away from that."
Speaking to co-host Ally Langdon, Stefanovic, a proud Queenslander, insisted he tried to stop Yarbrough, but she had a message she needed to get off her chest.
"It was a nice message, but it was: 'Please open the borders Premier, pleaseeeeeee,'" he said in a whispered hoarse tone.
"She sounded a lot like Hughesy."

The hilarious admission comes a day after Ms Palaszczuk announced the Sunshine State will open its border to NSW from December 1, and will now open to Victoria after it recorded another day of no new cases.

Tourism interest in Queensland is surging after the announcement, and Qantas and Jetstar will operate more than 1200 extra return flights from NSW and Victoria in the lead up to Christmas.
Ms Palaszczuk said the announcement is good news for Queensland and NSW.
"What we are seeing now is Australia getting on top of the COVID pandemic," she said.
"Fingers crossed everyone continues doing the right thing. It is great for business. It's great for Queensland. Look, and fundamentally, it is great for families to be reunited in time for Christmas. Which was always the aspiration of the National Cabinet.
