Karl Stefanovic's biggest highlights of 2024
Karl has had an epic 2024, turning the big 5-0, flying to Paris for the Olympics and covering the US presidential election live from Washington.
But he's also had a lot of fun at the Today desk, leaving his co-hosts in stitches with his antics and even sporting a new look earlier in the year.
"I'm liking the specs Karl, they suit you," Sarah told him.

Karl gives up breakfast TV for life on the farm
Farming families are the backbone of Australia, putting resilience, passion and a lot of hard work into everything they do.
So when Karl was invited to his brother Tom's almond farm in the NSW Riverina region, he decided to see if he had a future living life on the land if breakfast TV doesn't work out.
Karl put through his paces at the NSW Police Academy
Being a police officer is one of the most gruelling yet rewarding professions in the world, with those who don the uniform facing the unknown and potentially life-threatening situations every shift.
So to see first-hand how the police of tomorrow are made, Karl spent a day being pushed to the limit to see if he has what it takes as a cop.
Karl transforms into a Batman supervillain
Quick, someone shine the Bat Signal because a DC supervillain has taken over the Today studios!
Just when you though The Penguin had made his escape from Arkham Asylum and hopped a plane from Gotham City to North Sydney, it was in fact, Today host Karl.
Colin Farrell's The Batman spin-off series, The Penguin, landed on Binge earlier this year, so Karlos got an incredible - albeit slightly eerie - makeover to celebrate.
Karl challenges Aussie boxing champion to a fight
Aussie boxer Tim Tszyu fell short when he took on undefeated International Boxing Federation champion, Bakhram Murtazaliev, earlier this year.
But while the 29-year-old missed out on a win in that fight, he already has his next bout lined up in Australia.
Tim was discussing his bout with Today in October, when host, Karl Stefanovic challenged him to a fight.
Karl unveils major side project on Today
Karl had a couple of weeks off earlier this year to celebrate his birthday with family and friends.
But it wasn't all partying, with the Today host revealing a seriously wild side project he was working on.
"It's been a lifelong ambition for me to be in a music video," Karl revealed.
Karl surprised for milestone 50th birthday
Karl celebrated his 50th birthday back in August and was surprised with cake and a look back at his life so far.
But if that wasn't enough, the team flew his mum Jenny down from Queensland to be with him in person for his special day.
"You're just a wonderful person, you drive us mad, but we love you with all our hearts," sister-in-law and Today Extra host, Sylvia Jeffreys said.
Karl flies over to Paris for the Olympics
Nine's coverage of the Paris Olympics was one of the biggest television events of the year, so it made sense Karl and the Today team cover the competition and excitement live from the city itself.
The Today host hit the streets with Olympic swimmer, Kaylee McKeown's brothers, Lachlan and Bailey, to recruit as many people as he could to the Green and Gold Army, to support our Aussie athletes.
Karl covers the 2024 US presidential election live from Washington
It looked like it was going to be a neck and neck battle between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, but the former cleaned up in this years US election.
Karl was on the ground covering the days leading up to the final vote, speaking with experts on just what a second trump term will mean for Americans.
Karl and Sarah take on the Hot Ones challenge
The Today hosts faced off in a "fiery" interview with each other where no topic was off limits.
Inspired by the hit show Hot Ones, where Hollywood's biggest names eat progressively spicier hot wings while answering questions, Karl and Sarah took on the challenge themselves thanks to an array of condiments provided by That Hot Sauce Shop on Sydney's Lower North Shore.
And while the pair downed chicken nuggets instead of the traditional wings on Hot Ones, the results were just as good - if not better.
