Family of five forced to live in motel room find new home thanks to kindness of strangers
A Gold Coast family of five facing "one of the hardest moments of their lives" after being forced to live in a tiny motel room have found a new home thanks to the kindness of strangers.
Today put a call out to our viewers yesterday after mother-of-three, Alexi Bennett appeared on the show because she couldn't find somewhere to live after applying for almost 200 rentals.
But someone contacted Nine yesterday and Alexi's family now have a new three-bedroom home to move into.

"There are no words to describe how grateful we are," Alexi told Today this morning.
"Honestly, what a blessing. I just want to say thank you so much for having such a kind heart and for everyone who did reach out yesterday - It just means more than you could ever know., so thank you."
The response was overwhelming and even viewers in Mildura in Victoria said they had a place Alexi's family could stay if they were able to travel.

"It's just such an overwhelming sense of happiness and relief," Alexi said.
"The relief was just, you just feel this whole weight just get lifted off your shoulders honestly, I just, I can't describe it."
