'Don't make me cry!': Today Extra bids farewell to Davina Smith
For the past decade, Davina Smith has graced morning television screens, delivering all the latest breaking news to Today Extra viewers across the country.
But in an emotional send off today, the much-respected Nine senior journalist said her goodbyes as she embarks on an exciting new chapter in her career.
"I'm just so thankful, it's the best job in the world, we have heartbreaking stories to tell, but the team behind the scenes are extraordinary," Davina said, wiping away tears.

"We're so lucky to sit beside incredible people, but have people in our ears and in our hearts every day who are helping so much - thank you."
Thankfully, Davina will remain with her Nine family, taking on a new role as a reporter for A Current Affair in Queensland.
But while her new position will give Davina more time to spend with her daughters, Hope and Rose and her husband Mark, she wasn't getting off the hook without a special message from her long-time Today Extra colleague and dear friend David Campbell.

"I actually can't believe I'm doing this video," DC started.
"I just want to say that it's been a real honour to sit next to you, to work with you, I've learned so much over this period of time working with you.
"I know we've had a lot of laughs, I know we've had a lot of banter, I know you've thrown a lot of pens at me, but I also wanted to tell you how much I actually respect you, not only as a journalist, but as a person, as a human and very much so as a parent.
"You are going to be sorely missed, my friend, don't make me cry."
