Cher has released part one of her new memoir, this morning, where she reveals details of her colourful life and spectacular career, including that complicated relationship with husband Sonny Bono.

The pop megastar spoke with NBC's Today about her partnership with Bono, revealing just how one-sided it seemed to be in the early days.

"I was not an employee, that's for sure, but I didn't have any kind of freedom," she said.

"He did everything, I mean, we had a company that I didn't even know was a company - it was called Cher Enterprises and it was like very born yesterday, I was signing everything and I had no idea what I was signing.

Cher also revealed that she's releasing a new album.

Cher: A Memoir part one is out now and part two will be released next year.

This morning, we've also been given a fresh look at Nicole Kidman's new film Babygirl.

She plays a powerful CEO who puts her career and family on the line when she begins a wild and crazy affair with a much younger intern.

Babygirl is in cinemas in January and the film is already generating Oscar buzz.
