Important message from Australia's 'Local Hero of the Year'
We hear the word "hero" a lot on Today, but when it comes to Amar Singh, it is a truly deserving title.
The founder of disaster aid and food relief charity Turbans 4 Australia has been recognised for his work being awarded the Local Hero award at last night's Australian of the Year ceremony.
Singh told Today while it is "humbling" being recognised for his work, "giving back is everyone's moral responsibility".
